Gymnastics Together Program Info

Our classes/programs are open to ALL skill levels, from beginners to elite athletes. 

We offer in-person and virtual classes with the best international certified coaches.

       In our rhythmic gymnastics school, students learn a variety of techniques and movements, including flexibility, strength, balance, and coordination, basic ballet, acrobatics and tumbling. They also learn how to work with the various apparatus and perform routines to music with grace, fluidity, and expression. Classes include individual and group training, and students may have the opportunity to participate in competitions and performances at local, national, and international levels.

     The goal of our rhythmic gymnastics school is to help students improve their physical abilities, develop their artistic expression, and build their confidence and self-discipline through the practice of this demanding and beautiful sport.

MOMMY/DADDY AND ME  

The rhythmic gymnastics mommy/daddy and me program is designed for children between the ages of 18 months and 3 years old, who will be accompanied by an adult. This program aims to introduce children to the basics of rhythmic gymnastics through fun and interactive activities that involve movement and music. Children will learn how to move, develop musicality  and their coordination, balance, and flexibility. The program will also help children to develop their social skills and confidence, as they interact with other children and their adult companions.

 

Overall, the mommy and me program provides a fun and engaging way for young children to start exploring the world of rhythmic gymnastics together and bound with your child.

Mommy and Me Class Requirements:

  • Gymnasts must be a minimum of 18 months to participate without an adult

  • Gymnasts have the option of attending one or more classes per week

  • Classes are 45 minutes.

​MINI GYMNASTS

The mini gymnastics program is specially designed for children between the ages of 3 and 4, who are interested in exploring the exciting world of gymnastics. This program aims to introduce young children to the basics of gymnastics, while also providing a fun and engaging environment for them to learn and grow.

 

During the mini gymnastics program, children will be introduced to a variety of movements and skills, including basic tumbling, balance, and coordination exercises. These activities are designed to help children develop their strength, flexibility, and body awareness, while also improving their cognitive and social skills.

 

In addition to the physical benefits, the mini gymnastics program also focuses on creating a positive and supportive environment for children to learn and grow. Our experienced coaches will work with each child to build their confidence and encourage them to reach their full potential, while also fostering a sense of teamwork and cooperation among the group.

 

Overall, the mini gymnastics program is a great way for young children to start exploring the world of gymnastics, while also developing important skills that will benefit them in all areas of their lives.

RECREATIONAL CLASSES 5+ 

Our recreational rhythmic gymnastics classes offer a fun and engaging way for children aged 5 and above to develop their coordination, strength, flexibility, and balance, while also exploring the exciting world of movement and dance. These classes include elements of ballet, which help children to develop their posture, grace, and fluidity of movement.

 

During the classes, children will have the opportunity to learn a variety of rhythmic gymnastics movements and techniques, including tumbling, acrobatics, and coordination, with the use of equipment such as hoops, balls, ribbons, and clubs. Our experienced coaches will work with each child to help them develop their skills and abilities, while also promoting teamwork, communication, and creativity.

In addition to the rhythmic gymnastics elements, children will also be introduced to basic ballet techniques, such as pliés, tendus, and port de bras. This will help them to develop their posture, alignment, and control, while also fostering a love for dance.

 

Our recreational rhythmic gymnastics classes provide a supportive and inclusive environment for children of all skill levels, whether they are new to the sport or have some previous experience. We believe that every child has the potential to thrive and grow through movement and dance, and we are committed to helping each child discover and develop their unique strengths and talents.

 

Overall, our recreational rhythmic gymnastics classes with elements of ballet provide a fun and engaging way for children to explore the exciting world of movement and dance, while also building important physical, social, and cognitive skills that will benefit them in all areas of their lives.

 

Recreational Class Requirements:

  • Recreational classes are 1 hour in length, but gymnasts are welcome to register for longer classes (1.5 hours or 2.5 hours).

BOYS ACRO, TUMBLING AND GYMNASTICS CLASSES   

The boys' rhythmic gymnastics program is a dynamic and engaging program that incorporates elements of tumbling, acrobatics, and coordination, with the use of equipment such as rings, sticks, clubs, and ropes. This program is designed to introduce boys to the unique and exciting world of rhythmic gymnastics, with an emphasis on developing strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance.

 

During the program, boys will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of acrobatic movements and techniques, such as rolls, flips, handsprings, and cartwheels. They will also learn how to use the equipment to perform dynamic and engaging routines that showcase their skills and creativity.

 

The program places a strong emphasis on teamwork and communication, as boys work together to create group routines that showcase their individual and collective strengths. Our experienced coaches will work with each boy to help them develop their skills and abilities, while also promoting self-confidence, positive self-esteem, and a love of movement and gymnastics.

 

Overall, the boys' rhythmic gymnastics program is an exciting and challenging way for boys to explore their passion for movement, creativity, and acrobatics. It provides a fun and supportive environment for boys to learn and grow, while also building important physical, social, and cognitive skills that will benefit them in all areas of their lives.

  • Gymnasts have the option of attending one or more classes per week

  • Classes are 1 hour in length, but gymnasts are welcome to register for longer classes (1.5 hours or 2.5 hours).

USA GYMNASTICS (XCEL) COMPETITIVE RHYTHMIC PROGRAM

The USAG (Xcel) Competitive Rhythmic Program is designed to provide competitive experience to all gymnasts, including those just beginning their rhythmic gymnastics journey.  

  • The Competitive Rhythmic USAG Xcel Program requires minimal training time compared to our USAG (Olympic) Program.  This allows athletes to participate in rhythmic gymnastics while staying active in school & family activities.  

  • Official Competitive Rhythmic USAG Xcel Program rules focus on personal progress rather than competitive placement.  Gymnasts can be challenged competing in a single level for multiple years.

  • The Competitive Rhythmic USAG Xcel Program offers worldwide competitions in-person and virtually, which are streamed on YouTube Live through Zoom, with routines sometimes being pre-recorded.

 

USAG (Xcel) Competitive Rhythmic Team Requirements: 

  • Gymnasts must be a minimum age of 7 years to participate in this program

  • Gymnasts must attend a minimum of two practices per week. Classes are 2.5 hours long. 

  • Competing and/or advancing to the next level may only be permitted following a skill evaluation by the coach. 

  • Competitions are optional.

  • In order to participate in in-person competitions, you are required to register your child online with USA Gymnastics (USAG).  Your membership is valid for one competitive season (August 1, 2022 - July 31, 2023).  The cost is $65 per athlete, First-time athletes $25 and is paid annually.  More info. here: https://usagym.org/pages/membership/pages

USA GYMNASTICS (OLYMPIC/DEVELOPMENT) COMPETITIVE RHYTHMIC PROGRAM

The USAG (Olympic/Development) Competitive Rhythmic Program is rigorous and geared towards gymnasts who are serious about competing at an elite level.  

 

USAG (Olympic/Development) Competitive Rhythmic Team Requirements: 

  • Gymnasts must be a minimum age of 7 years to participate in this program

  • Level 5 & 6 Gymnasts must attend a minimum of 3 classes per week (classes are 2.5 - 3 hours long) for at least 6 months before competing. 

  • Level 7 & 8 Gymnasts must attend 4 practices per week (classes are 3 hours long) for at least 6 months before competing. 

  • Competing and/or advancing to the next level may only be permitted following a skill evaluation by the coach. 

  • In order to participate in in-person competitions, you are required to register your child online with USA Gymnastics (USAG).  Your membership is valid for one competitive season (August 1, 2022 - July 31, 2023).  The cost is $65 per athlete, First-time athletes $25 and is paid annually.  More info. here: https://usagym.org/pages/membership/pages/info_athlete.html

  • All competitive gymnasts in the Development program must compete in 3 competitions/competitive season in order to advance in level. 

  • In some cases, private classes will be required in order to compete or perform. Coach Lilia will determine if the student will need private classes.

  • While GT has minimal requirements for competitive gymnasts, it must be understood that in order to represent GT, our policies must be followed.

  • This year the competitions are: February 11-12(invitational), February 18-19 (state),

    April 22-23(regional, registration is not open yet).

PERFORMANCE TEAM

Our performance team program is a fun and dynamic opportunity for children who love movement, dance, and performance. The program is designed for children who have some experience in rhythmic gymnastics and/or dance and want to take their skills to the next level.

 

During the program, children will have the opportunity to develop their skills in rhythmic gymnastics, including tumbling, acrobatics, coordination, and the use of equipment such as hoops, balls, ribbons, and clubs. They will also learn how to create and perform dynamic and engaging routines that showcase their skills and creativity.

 

Our experienced coaches will work with each child to help them develop their skills and abilities, while also promoting teamwork, communication, and performance skills. Children will learn how to work together to create group routines that showcase their individual and collective strengths, as well as how to perform confidently in front of an audience.

 

The performance team program places a strong emphasis on creativity and self-expression, with children being encouraged to bring their own unique style and personality to their routines. They will have the opportunity to participate in local and national performances, where they can showcase their skills.

 

Overall, our performance team program provides a supportive and inclusive environment for children to develop their passion for movement, dance, and performance, while also building important physical, social, and cognitive skills that will benefit them in all areas of their lives.

 

We perform at local & national events, such as the Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade and National Cherry Blossom Festival,etc.  Online performances are streamed worldwide through social media (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).

 

Performance Participation Requirements: 

 

(AGES 5 & UP) In order to participate in performances, gymnasts must attend a minimum of two practices per week for minimum 5 months. Classes are 2.5 hours long.  Participation in performances is optional.
